During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.
A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.
Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.
Russian forces has increased strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.
"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.
Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen missiles targeted energy facilities, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.
Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to restore power.
A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.
Several of the people hurt in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.
Area administrators said the urban area endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and several individuals were wounded.
The attacks come after evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.
All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.
Government officials told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the country's energy grid, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.
Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
